GIF Editor privacy policy

GIF Editor trims, crops, resizes and captions GIF files for export.

Data processing

The browser workspace reads selected GIF bytes, dimensions, frame timing and names, and holds captions, crop coordinates and frame edits in the session. Chrome's storage.local keeps rating-prompt timestamps, dismissal and response state (gifEditorRatePrompt). Exports create GIF or ZIP downloads.

Retention and deletion

Opening another file, reloading or closing the workspace ends the editing session; rating records remain until storage is cleared or the extension is removed. Delete downloaded exports separately; external services have their own data-request processes.

Analytics

The welcome page and the hosted goodbye and rating pages carry analytics used to count installs and removals by country.

Optional feedback

Feedback and 1-3 stars open the rating page, with stars and interface language in rating links; 4-5 open Chrome Web Store reviews once configured. Chrome may open the optional goodbye survey after removal. Submitted feedback reaches the publisher through Telegram.

Use and rights

Data is not sold, transferred for unrelated purposes, or used for advertising or lending. Data use follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use.

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority, without discrimination.

Children

GIF Editor is intended for users 13 and older.
